GE as the Premier Digital Industrial company and to increase branding of GE in Vietnam (and other ASEAN countries) overall, as well as to attract the best talents into IT, Finance/Marketing, and Engineering into GE, it is with great pleasure to share that we have just launched our inaugural ASEAN Digital Start Up Contest 2017!

In a gist, this contest is open to university students studying across 3 countries in ASEAN – Malaysia, Vietnam & Thailand. It’s a business startup with a digital theme. The students will have to form a team of 3 or 4 with at least one member each from the schools of IT, Engineering & Business/Accounting/Finance. They will then need to come up with a business proposal of an app solution that’s built on GE’s new digital operating system, Predix.

There’s no preliminary filtration of students – all teams who sign up by the cut-off date of 27^th August, 2017 will be qualified and invited to a special 1-day session of Predix training – and granted a cert of participation for this training. The national team that wins the country finale will get an all-expense paid trip to the regional final round in Singapore, as well as an opportunity to pitch their idea to potential investors.
